Mattapan And The Boston Area

Once a separate city known as Dorchester, Mattapan has been part of the city of Boston since 1870. Long before that, the area was inhabited by a Native American tribe called the Mattahunt.

It is a desirable residential community with a diverse population. The population includes many African Americans as well as immigrants from Haiti and other countries in the Caribbean.

There are many housing options and a notable amount of green space.
