One teenager was killed and over 50 people were seriously injured by a motor vehicle accident that occurred in North Hudson. The crash happened around 8:15 a.m., but the cause of the accident was still unknown at the time of the report.

Authorities report that a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian occurred in Wilbraham during the evening of July 19. The 27-year-old pedestrian suffered severe injuries from being hit by a motor vehicle. The driver of the motor vehicle fled the scene, but a 27-year-old Monson man later turned himself in to police claiming responsibility.

Massachusetts woman sentenced in possible wrongful death case

A Massachusetts judge recently sentenced a 51-year-old woman to a 52-week jail term for a drunk driving fatality. The woman was convicted of multiple charges in connection with the accident three years ago. The family of the victim may choose to seek their own closure by filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the convicted driver.

3-vehicle accident injures Massachusetts resident

According to a local news source, a multi-vehicle accident on Washington Street in Holliston injured one of the motorists involved on July 9. The car accident victim, an 82-year-old man, was hurt after a 59-year-old Milford man crossed the centerline into the opposite lanes of traffic and collided with the elderly man's 1930 Ford pickup. A third vehicle, driven by a 48-year-old man, rear-ended the truck after the initial collision. The Ford was pressed between the two other vehicles after the crash according to police.

Man enters not-guilty plea after fatal Massachusetts crash

A June accident in Sharon resulted in the death of a 20-year-old pedestrian. According to authorities, the 44-year-old male driver was speeding when he swerved out of the lane, jumped the curb and hit the victim while she was jogging. The impact threw the her 78 feet in the air. The driver was charged with speeding, driving on a suspended license and motor vehicle homicide and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

According to local police, a 22-year-old New Bedford woman driving a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle crashed into a 27-year-old Maine man driving a 2007 Volvo.
