Massachusetts motorcycle accident left 1 seriously injured.

Motorcycles can quickly change from a fun efficient way to travel to a deadly vehicle if precautions are not taken by the rider and other drivers on the road. Motorcycles do not have as many safety measures as cars or trucks. This, combined with the negligence that is often the root cause of an accident involving a motorcycle, can create a very hazardous situation quickly. A man in Massachusetts was seriously injured recently after being involved in a motorcycle accident between his bike and a van.

On Aug. 30 at around 11:30 a.m., a man operating a van was making a left at a local intersection when he collided with a man who was riding on a motorcycle. The rider hit the front right corner of the car, according to local police. Emergency personnel responded soon after the accident occurred and indicated that the man suffered serious injuries on both his face and body.

The rider was transported to Lawrence General Hospital and then flown to Boston Medical Center. Investigations are still ongoing but authorities noted that speed was not an apparent factor. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved. The current condition of the rider was not reported. Also, it is unknown if the driver of the van was injured in the accident.

Once investigations of the Massachusetts crash have been completed, the injured rider that was involved in the motorcycle accident retains the right to seek reimbursement of monetary damages sustained. If such a claim is successful, the rider could use this money to pay for any medical bills for his stay at the hospital, as well as for related expenses. This could allow him to fully heal without the stress of worrying about financial struggles while focused on overcoming his injuries..
