Motorcycle versus car accidents: Massachusetts man hospitalized

Many people chose alternative forms of transportation for many reasons, including the potential for saving money. Motorcycles, for example, could result in savings due to the lower gas consumption. However, they are often more difficult to see because of their smaller size, putting motorcyclists at risk of car accidents when there are negligent drivers in their vicinity. Recently, one man suffered serious injuries after an incident that Massachusetts police believe was caused by the driver of a more traditional motor vehicle.

According to reports, the motorcyclist was driving north on a Massachusetts roadway one day in late November. Police claim that the driver of a southbound car attempted a left turn into the path of the motorcycle. The resulting collision sent the motorcyclist into the air. He ultimately landed against the post of a stop sign.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. One officials notes that his injuries are considered life threatening. Neither the identity of the motorcyclist nor the driver have been released at this time. No charges have been filed, but police are continuing their investigation into the incident.

Recovering from the injuries suffered in car accidents is often a long, painful and expensive process. Many people in Massachusetts find themselves unable to return to work in the same capacity, if at all, compounding the financial complications created by medical expenses. Those who were injured by another's negligence have legal options available to them, allowing them to seek compensation for the expenses incurred if such negligence can be proved. Many victims seek the guidance of an experienced personal injury attorney to fight on their behalf.
