The victim, a 45-year-old man, was struck on March 3 at around 7:45 p.m. by a vehicle. He was attempting to cross the road when the driver, an 18-year-old woman, struck him. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and transported the victim to the hospital, where he later died.
The female driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital and, although she did not sustain any physical injuries, she was treated for trauma. The accident is still under investigation by Massachusetts police. It was reported that no citations had been issued.
Once the investigation of the pedestrian accident has been completed by the Massachusetts police, the family of the deceased victim may have the right to seek monetary compensation. Compensation could be used by the family to pay for any of the victim's final expenses. This could relieve some of the stress that is often placed on the family members by new bills. Hopefully, the family will be able to slowly come to terms with their loss and return to their normal routines.
