The accident happened during the early morning hours of a day in September. Police claim that a 27-year-old male lost control of the vehicle he was driving at about 3:20 a.m. As a result, his vehicle apparently struck a sports utility vehicle, causing it to roll over into the median.
The first vehicle stopped on the roadway. Ultimately, two other vehicles were involved as a result. Several people were transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the accident. Unfortunately, a 65-year-old female passenger in the SUV died after transport. It is unclear at this time what caused the driver of the first vehicle to lose control of his vehicle, and while no charges have been filed at this time, the accident remains under investigation.
Unfortunately, several people in Massachusetts are left injured while one family must come to terms with the loss of their loved one. Many victims of SUV rollovers and other car accidents choose to seek justice in a civil court. If negligence can be proved, the court could order that the negligent party pay damages to cover the financial consequences of his or her actions. By doing so, victims -- including the surviving families of deceased victims -- can focus on their recovery, secure in the knowledge their financial future is protected.
