News: Whitman Police summoned to single-motorcycle crash

Fatal pedestrian accident occurs in Whitman

If anyone could have acted to save the life of a 38-year-old man from Whitman, it would likely have been the Whitman fire chief. The 43-year-old firefighter knew exactly who to call, even though he was off duty. The off-duty fire chief was the first one on the scene when a 38-year-old man and 4-year-old girl were struck by a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.
