Car accident in Massachusetts injures 2 people

On behalf of posted in car accidents on Saturday April 5, 2014

Every day, people all across the United States decide to drive home after becoming intoxicated. Their poor choices and impaired judgment while intoxicated can create very serious situations. In turn, these situations can lead to accidents that can leave those involved with severe injuries, both emotional and physical. Unfortunately, one car accident recently took place in Massachusetts and injured multiple individuals.

The first accident took place around 1 a.m. on March 30 and led to one of the occupants of the vehicle leaving the car to see if there was any physical damage to the automobile. While they were outside of the vehicle, the intoxicated individual struck one of the people and collided with the other car. This caused the injury of both the person struck and the passenger of the second vehicle.

The two victims were transported to the hospital for their injuries, but their current condition is unknown. The driver of the second vehicle had initially tried to flee the scene of the accident but was caught soon after leaving. Several charges were filed against the man, including operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Regardless of whether the defendant is convicted of the charges brought against him, the injured Massachusetts individuals may have the right to seek monetary compensation. Compensation could be used to pay for any hospital bills that are received because of the car accident as well as supplement the victims’ incomes if they are unable to work. Hopefully this will allow the victims to focus on recuperating from their injuries.
