Female passenger dies in fatal car accident in Massachusetts

Drivers should always adhere to the rules of the road, including those prohibiting drunk driving. By avoiding illegal behavior, one does not only ensure the safety of other motorists, but also protects his or her own safety and that of his or her passengers. Unfortunately, it seems as if one man may have failed to do this in a recent fatal car accident in Massachusetts.

The man is believed to have been the cause of a fatal car crash early one morning in mid-November. It was in the wee hours when the 42-year-old man reportedly lost control of his vehicle. His car ended up rolling over close to an intersection, resulting in the death of his female passenger.

The driver was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence (OUI). This is his fourth OUI offense, according to records released to the public. The man was also charged with improper lane use, speeding, reckless vehicular homicide and negligently operating a motor vehicle. Also, the man is being accused of leaving the scene of a crash resulting in injuries, which was included as a charge against the driver.

Although the family members of the decedent may be looking to put the tragedy behind them in order to heal from the emotional trauma of losing a loved one, they may want to continue paying attention to the upcoming criminal trial resulting from the fatal car accident in Massachusetts. The criminal trial may present evidence which could be useful in a potential wrongful death lawsuit. If they choose to pursue wrongful death compensation, it could result in them being awarded damages to compensate for losses that stemmed from the accident.
