News: 1 hospitalized after SUV, pickup truck crash in Bridgewater 

BRIDGEWATER, MA – A driver of a Volkswagen SUV was airlifted to a hospital after getting hit by a Chevrolet pickup truck driver on Route 18 Wednesday. 

The pickup truck motorist was going south on Route 18 (near Administration Road) when, for reasons unclear, the driver crossed over into the northbound lanes and struck the Volkswagen, according to NBC Boston. 

The force of the collision resulted in significant front-end damage to the pickup truck and completely took off the SUV roof. The pickup truck driver was treated for minor injuries and did not need to be taken to a hospital. 

It is unclear if speed or impairment played a role in this wreck.
