News: 2 hurt, power outages reported after crash with tree in Douglas
DOUGLAS, MA – A massive tree fell on a white car and power lines, leaving the two vehicle occupants with sustained injuries and resulting in power outages for more than 500 customers.
This incident occurred around 3 p.m. on South Street Thursday, WHDH reported. The injured victims — a man and a woman — were taken to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not specify what wounds the woman sustained but said the man suffered head injuries. It is not immediately clear what their current condition is.
The falling tree also hit a nearby home. The structural integrity of that home appears to be uncompromised, and those residents appear to be unwounded.
