News: 5 hospitalized after 2-vehicle wreck in Ipswich
IPSWICH, MA – Five people were hospitalized after their two vehicles collided head-on on the 330th block of High Street, leading one to roll over and another to rest against a home wall.
NBC Boston said this collision happened after 5 p.m. Thursday. Video footage showed a 2007 Hyundai coming to rest in front of a home and a 2022 Subaru being pinned against the wall.
The Subaru driver — an 83-year-old woman from Maine — and one of her passengers were trapped inside their car and were extricated through a Jaws of Life method. All were airlifted to a hospital for serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
Another Subaru occupant and the Hyundai driver and the passenger with him — a 13-year-old teen — were taken to local hospitals. Their current condition is unknown.
More information will be provided as it becomes available.
