News: Male cyclist, 21, fatally hit by dump truck in Allston
BOSTON, MA – A 21-year-old man riding an electric bicycle lost his life when he was hit by a driver of a garbage truck in the Allston area Tuesday.
This collision happened around 10 a.m. on Cambridge Street near Union Square, according to WCVB. The cyclist — Samuel Albarado, a man from Honduras — was on his way to meet his uncle for donuts when he was struck by the Mack dump truck “operated by Republic Services.”
Albarado succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene. The driver of the garbage truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
No pending charges or citations have been reported at this time.
