News: Multiple agencies called after big rig overturns in NW Stoughton
NORFOLK COUNTY, MA — A tractor-trailer overturned Monday morning on Sharon Street in northwest Stoughton, prompting a heavy emergency response, according to Stoughton Firefighters Local 1512.
The incident was reported at the intersection with Washington Street, near Cobbs Corner Shopping Center. By 9:29 a.m., multiple firefighters from Stoughton Fire and Sharon Fire departments had responded, along with police officers from Stoughton, Sharon, and Canton.
A photo captured at the scene shows the big rig at rest on its driver’s side, blocking the roadway in front of the Exxon gas station.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
