News: Scooter rider seriously hurt crash with car in Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE, MA – First responders had to take a scooter rider to a hospital for treatment of serious wounds after they were hit by a vehicle after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
NBC Boston revealed this collision happened at the Mount Auburn Street and Gerrys Landing Road junction. Initially, the source reported that it was a cyclist who was injured. However, they later confirmed that it was, in fact, a scooter rider who was the victim. The scooter itself appeared not to have sustained significant damage when it was last seen in a grassy area.
The driver did remain at the scene, and there was no indication made of pending charges. In addition, there has been no update on the victim’s current condition.
Officials shut down the area temporarily and reopened around 9 p.m.
