News UPDATE: 3 civilians, 2 officers hurt in Dorchester crash
BOSTON, MA – Officials have revealed new details regarding the Dorchester multi-vehicle crash involving two officers Wednesday.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Park Street, as shown in a report from WCVB.
There were two police cars involved, one of which was an unmarked police cruiser, a black Ford Explorer. Both vehicles had flashing lights at the time of the crash.
The collision also involved a 2022 Honda Pilot and a 2018 Toyota Rav4, but the exact details of the contributing factors and who was solely responsible are unclear.
Aside from the two officers, three other occupants were involved. All of them were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The only person identified in the crash was 36-year-old Odane Atkins. As indicated in the report, he suffered neck injuries and is wearing a neck brace.
