News: Woman hospitalized after fiery crash involving car, tanker truck

BOSTON, MA – A woman was sent to the hospital when she crashed her car into the back of a tanker truck with 8,000 gallons of gas, leading both vehicles to catch fire. 

Fire crews and first responders were called to Route 1A around 3 a.m. Wednesday, NBC Boston reported. Officials confirmed the fire was initiated when gas leaked from a pipe under the tanker. However, it is still unclear what led the woman to rear-end the truck. 

The woman was left in serious condition, and It appears the man was able to leave the crash site unscathed.
