There are many heroes in life, including those who are able to overcome extreme personal struggles through hard work and perseverance. For some people on Nantucket Island, a Massachusetts woman who had overcome brain injuries after being struck by a drunk driver three years ago was a hero. Unfortunately, police say the woman was recently killed in a pedestrian accident that left one man accused of homicide. The 58-year-old woman was reportedly training for the Boston Marathon when the accident happened. Police say that she was hit at approximately 5 p.m. one day in early February.
