1 person injured in Massachusetts crash

One person was injured during a two-vehicle crash that happened in Fall River on July 6. The collision happened at 5:40 p.m. on the westbound side of the Braga Bridge off Interstate 195. According to local police, a 22-year-old New Bedford woman driving a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle crashed into a 27-year-old Maine man driving a 2007 Volvo.

A state police trooper said that there was at least one victim who suffered an injury from the collision. The accident backed traffic up for several miles out to the Route 24 South Exit on I-195. Police did not finish clearing the scene until around 6:20 p.m. The Volkswagen Beetle was towed away from the scene after the crash. Massachusetts State Police Troopers did not have any additional information for local reporters about the injuries suffered that evening.

If it is unclear who was at fault, both drivers may consider filing a personal injury claim in an effort to recover compensation for damages suffered from the crash. Plaintiffs may be entitled to claim restitution to account for medical costs, loss of income and repair expenses stemming by the crash. Lawyers may also act as an intermediary for the accident victim and negotiate with insurers while preparing a case against the other driver.
