On behalf of posted in car accidents on Wednesday July 10, 2013

No matter what factors lead to a crash, all car accidents can be considered tragic in some way or another. Even when traveling at a moderate speed, the weight and mass of a motor vehicle makes it a rolling weapon. This is especially true when drivers fail to exercise due diligence, thus endangering the lives of all others on the road. Recently, a car crash involving two vehicles in Massachusetts left two people injured.

Very few details about the crash have been released as of yet. However, the accident did involve two cars and occurred in mid-afternoon. According to the fire commissioner, it took authorities around 15 minutes to remove one of the drivers from his or her vehicle. Rescuers were forced to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver.

The drivers in both vehicles were taken to local medical centers. At least one of them sustained what has been described as serious injuries. No information has been released pertaining to the condition of the second driver. The accident remains under investigation.

When the investigation into this car crash comes to a close, it is probable that one of the drivers involved in the crash will be found at fault. While any theories pertaining to the crash would be pure speculation at this point, it is possible that the victimized party in this case will be eligible to seek compensation in accordance with Massachusetts law. In cases like this, compensation can be used to cover the cost of medical bills and recoup lost wages, among other damages awarded by a civil court.
