Man killed in Massachusetts workplace accident
As employees head to work each day, most probably do not worry about the possibility of never returning home. Unfortunately, one never knows when a serious workplace accident may end his or her life. After a recent workplace incident, one Massachusetts family is now mourning the loss of a young man.
The 26-year-old man was on duty at the waste management company where he was employed when the tragic accident occurred. According to the reports from the rescue workers who arrived on scene after receiving the call for assistance on the late November morning, the man was found without discernible signs of life. The victim was reportedly knocked down and run over by a front-end loader.
Emergency workers pronounced the man deceased shortly after arrival at the scene. Massachusetts officials are still investigating how the accident occurred. Officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration were notified and will likely conduct their own investigation into this fatal incident. It was unclear from the information whether the incident took place inside the plant’s warehouse or on the grounds outside.
