News: 1 dead, 2 hospitalized after Essex Co. wreck 

ESSEX COUNTY, MA – Two were sent to the hospital, and one person died after a chain-reaction collision on I-95 in the Danvers-Boxford area Friday. 

According to NBC Boston, it was said that a van had rolled over on its roof, which led to two people being thrown from the vehicle. The two victims were taken to a hospital (one transported by ground and another flown by helicopter) for treatment. Their conditions are unknown. 

The occupants of the first vehicle crashed into the woods and fled the scene. Police detained one person and are currently searching for the other occupant. 

Officials said the force of the collision caused a vehicle’s side to tear open.
