News: Crash with tree, utility pole in Wellesley claims one life 

WELLESLEY, MA – An SUV driver’s life was claimed after they crashed into a utility pole and then struck a tree on Route 9 Wednesday. 

NBC Boston reported this single-vehicle collision after 7:15 a.m. near Cedar Street. First responders found the driver unconscious and then took them to Newton Wellesley Hospital. They later succumbed to fatal wounds at approximately 8:10 a.m. 

The pole came off, and crews are working to replace the pole. No one else was injured. 

At this time, it is unclear what led them to drift off the road and crashed into the pole and tree. Their identity has not been disclosed and will be posted to this news blog when it becomes publicly available.
