News: Passenger dead following crash on I-95 near Wilmington
WILMINGTON, MA – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-93 east of Wilmington early Monday.
According to NBC Boston, the crash took place at about 7:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Exit 33 to Concord Street.
State Troopers say a Honda Civic hydroplaned and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then veered back onto the roadway and collided with a Chevrolet pickup truck.
An unidentified female passenger in the Honda was rushed to Lahey Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The remaining individuals involved in the accident were also taken to the hospital for medical attention, and it is expected that they will make a full recovery.
