CHELMSFORD, MA – A 65-year-old woman operating a Volkswagen Taos hit a BMW head-on I-495, injuring herself and a 75-year-old man and woman.  NBC Boston said this collision happened before 10 a.m. Wednesday when the Volkswagen driver drifted from the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes. It is not immediately clear what caused the 65-year-old woman to swerve into the opposite lanes. CHELMSFORD, MA – A tractor-trailer and car driver were unharmed after colliding with each other crashing into a guardrail on I-495 around 4 a.m. Thursday.  Boston 25 News said traffic delays extended a few miles from the collision site and that the northbound direction was shut down for around four hours.
