Hundreds of car crashes occur every day, and far too many of them result in severe injuries or even fatalities. Understandably, a car accident can have detrimental repercussions on victims and their families, both mentally and physically. Unfortunately, a man was severely injured recently in a Massachusetts car accident.

According to a Massachusetts emergency official, a man was taken to a Boston hospital for both head and leg injuries after a car accident that occurred on Sept. 6. The accident occurred at the intersection of two roadways in Marstons Mills around 5:30 p.m. The man injured was a 36-year-old.

He was quickly flown by helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital soon after the accident occurred. One other person suffered minor injuries from the car accident and was transported to Falmouth Hospital. The police indicated that the accident is still under investigation as authorities seek to determine the cause of the collision.

Once Massachusetts police are finished with the investigation, the people that were injured in the car accident may have the right to seek monetary compensation. Under our personal injury laws, when someone is seriously injured due to the negligent or reckless actions of another party, reimbursement of monetary damages sustained may be ordered by a civil court. If compensation is awarded to either of the two individuals, it could be used to pay any medical bills that accrued while in the hospital. This would allow both people that were hospitalized to focus on recovering and not worry about the financial aspects that inevitably accompany these types of accidents.
