Man dead in Massachusetts following fatal car accident

The Boston Globe has reported the death of a 28-year-old man following a serious crash in Beverly. Massachusetts authorities tasked with investigating the fatal car accident were on the scene the night of March 28. The victim has not been identified publicly at this time, but state police are working in conjunction with local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.

The accident report is not yet finalized, but it has been confirmed that three vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. near Essex Street. The exact nature of the accident has not been determined, but it appears two of the three vehicles involved suffered extreme damage in the collision. The unidentified man was reportedly ejected from the vehicle he was in.

Police and fire units treated the man on the scene before rushing him to a local hospital. Shortly thereafter, he was pronounced dead of his injuries by medical authorities at the hospital. It is unknown whether anyone else was injured in the crash. Police are still investigating and have not yet determined which of the drivers involved may have played a role in the accident.

A fatal car accident does not always carry with it any criminal charges. However, that does not mean that the family of the victim in this case is without recourse. Massachusetts law allows the family of the victim to sue one or more involved drivers for wrongful death, provided sufficient evidence of the material contribution to the accident by the driver(s) can be established and presented in civil court.
