The loss of a loved one is never easy. When a family depends upon their deceased loved one’s income to meet their basic needs, such a loss can feel even more devastating. Fortunately, Massachusetts state law requires employers to provide their workers with insurance coverage that will protect them financially in the event of a workplace accident. In the event of a fatality, these benefits typically extend to the worker’s family members. In many instances, an experienced professional has helped a grieving family pursue all of the benefits to which they were rightfully entitled.
