Man dies as a result of workplace accident

Anyone who has been without a job knows of the financial stresses a family can face when there is less income. The accident happened one morning in early March. Reports indicate that than a 41-year-old man working at Markman Peat Corporation died of asphyxiation and blunt force trauma. His clothing was apparently became ensnared in a conveyor belt.

Reports indicate that the man didn’t normally work with the equipment that is believed to have caused the accident, and it was unclear why he was near the conveyor belt. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration typically conducts an investigation into accidents that result in fatalities.
