Massachusetts car accident injures 3 people
The majority of car accidents that happen throughout the United States are not serious enough to cause major injuries to those involved, but the few accidents that are can change the victims’ lives for an extended period of time. Severe accidents can often be caused by negligent drivers, especially if those drivers do not obey the traffic lights that are put in place to prevent these accidents. Unfortunately, one car accident in Massachusetts recently left multiple people injured.
The accident took place on a recent evening just before 5:30 p.m. and involved two motor vehicles. The accident occurred after the first car, driven by a 34-year-old man, attempted to drive through an intersection. As he attempted to cross, the man’s vehicle was struck by another car driven by a 90-year-old woman.
The driver of the first vehicle suffered minor injuries, one passenger in his vehicle suffered serious injuries and another suffered a few broken ribs. The current condition of the injured victims is unknown; however, the other driver was not injured. Both drivers apparently told police they had a green light, but the accident is still under investigation by Massachusetts police.
Once the investigation of the car accident is completed, the injured victims may have the right to monetary compensation if the other driver is at fault. Compensation could be paid to the victims by the insurance company if the case is ruled in their favor. Monetary compensation could be used to pay for any medical bills and supplement the victims’ incomes if they are unable to work.
