Neighbors express shock over Massachusetts pedestrian accident
While people in Massachusetts experience snow on a fairly regular basis, they often do not let it impede their lives. Officials work to ensure that roads and sidewalks are clear, and many people continue their daily routines, including going for walks around their neighborhood. Unfortunately, one man was recently killed in a pedestrian accident allegedly caused by a snow plow.
Reports indicate that the man was a short distance from his house at the time of the accident. According to reports, he was struck by a town sidewalk snow plow. The 89-year-old victim was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
Officials indicate that the driver of the snowplow remained at the scene of the accident. However, community members claim that it is hard to fathom how an accident such as this could have happened. Others have expressed their grief over the loss of man who is described as having been a fixture of the community. The incident remains under investigation by Massachusetts Accident Reconstruction Team.
Unfortunately, the family members, including three children and seven grandchildren, of the man killed in the Massachusetts pedestrian accident are likely picking up the pieces of their lives today after their unexpected loss. Often, the financial ramifications of a loss such as this can create added stress for grieving families due to medical expenses and funeral costs. In order to cope with these expenses, many choose to file a lawsuit in a civil court. If negligence is proved, families could receive an award of damages to help with such expenses.
