Massachusetts residents may be aware of the dangers on the roadways. A recent early morning accident proved just how dangerous when one person was killed and two others were injured. This accident has taken the life of a loved one and left a family with possible grounds to file a wrongful death lawsuit.

The accident occurred when a woman was traveling on the interstate and was hit by a car driving on the wrong side of the road. A phone call received on a cell phone reported a multiple car accident. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim was transported to a nearby hospital with what were believed at the time to be non-life threatening injuries.

The man that was driving the wrong direction was also transported to a nearby hospital. The 33-year-old is now facing charges. The details involving the charges have yet to be released as a thorough investigation could take time. As the family of the victims wait for further details, they may want to look into their right to file a wrongful death lawsuit. Since both families will face accident related expenses, they could potentially be entitled to monetary compensation to help cover their financial losses.

Any Massachusetts resident that has lost a loved one and feels they may have grounds to file a wrongful death lawsuit could benefit from having an understanding of the laws that pertain to their situation. During what can be an emotional time, having the proper knowledge needed to move forward can prove to be valuable. Knowing the proper steps to take can help a person feel more confident that a fair outcome will be reached.
