Motorcycle rider injured in Massachusettts

On behalf of posted in Motorcycle Accidents on Thursday May 15, 2014

Motorcycles can be a gas saving alternative to a full size automobile, but they do not offer the protection that many cars provide to their occupants. Unfortunately, this can mean that individuals that are riding a motorcycle when in an accident can be seriously injured, while those in a vehicle may remain unscathed. One motorcycle accident in Massachusetts recently injured an individual who was on a motorcycle.

The accident took place on May 7 at around 5 p.m. and involved one car and one motorcycle. The collision occurred after the automobile pulled out in front of the motorcycle, and the rider was unable to stop in time. This caused the motorcycle to collide with the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the accident soon after it took place and transported the rider of the motorcycle to the hospital with serious injuries. The current condition of the injured victim is unknown at this time, but no other individuals were injured in the accident. The collision is still under investigation by Massachusetts police.

Once the investigation of the motorcycle accident has been completed, the injured victim may have the right to seek monetary compensation for the injuries that they suffered. Compensation could be used by the victim to pay for any of the bills that are received from the hospital for the treatment of their injuries. Compensation, which must be based upon proof of negligence by another party, could allow the victim to focus on healing and returning to their normal routine instead of worrying about new bills.
