Massachusetts state police announced earlier this week that a tour bus driver involved in the February accident on Soldier's Field Road that injured 33 passengers will be criminally charged. You might recall that the Pennsylvania tour bus slammed into a bridge overpass on its way home from a visit to Harvard University. Bus company owner apologizes for crash; stands by driver

The owner of a bus company whose tour bus crashed into a concrete overpass in Boston, leaving a teenager in critical condition, has apologized to the dozens injured in the collision. The owner of Philadelphia-based Calvary Coach insists, however, that the 66-year-old driver of the vehicle is "a very good driver" who is apparently not at fault for the bus accident. One person still critical after Boston bus crash

One person injured in Saturday night's Boston bus crash was still listed in critical condition yesterday, according to media reports. The tour bus had taken high school students and chaperones on a visit to Harvard University. The bus was headed home to Philadelphia when it crashed into an overpass on Soldiers Field Road at the Western Avenue Bridge at about 7:30 p.m. The driver, 66 years old, has not been charged, a State Police spokesperson said. Four firefighters injured in chain-reaction accident

Far south of Boston, a volunteer firefighter was badly injured in a crash with a tractor-trailer yesterday morning, news reports indicate. The suburban Washington DC firefighter had to have his arm reattached by surgeons after sustaining severe injuries. Three other firefighters were also injured -- as were three other people -- though none as seriously. 35 people injured when two MBTA trolleys collide

Yesterday, 35 people were injured, including nine with possible head or neck injuries, when two MBTA Green Line trolleys collided around noon. According to reports, the collision occurred when a trolley leaving Park Street Station rear-ended another trolley that was standing still at the Boylston Station platform. Boston EMS officials reported that most of the 35 accident victims taken to nearby hospitals suffered bruises and cuts, and none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
