Main Street in Medway is a tree-lined two-lane road. Google maps show that there is a sidewalk on one side of the road and there appears to be a clearly marked bike lane on either side of the road. The road is straight near the portion where it intersects with a cull-de-sac called Thunder Hill Road. It was along Main Street near Thunder Hill Road at 3:38 in the afternoon that a 20-year-old bicyclist was struck by a pickup truck which may have been a commercial vehicle. Texting trolley accident results in $1.2 million jury verdict

A Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority trolley driver admitted to texting while driving, thereby causing an accident in which nearly 50 people were hospitalized with injuries. There were additional people injured who did not require hospitalization. One of those who suffered an injury in the public transportation accident, was a woman who hurt her neck and was unable to return to work after the accident. According to a recent study, one of the 10 most dangerous jobs in the country is truck driving. The most dangerous job is fishing. Two of those professions intersected recently when a truck driver at a Quincy boatyard was killed in an accident. According to news sources, the truck accident involved a fuel driver who was outside of his truck on the ground, when his truck rolled into the man, pinning him against a fence.
