Pedestrian Accidents

Fatal accidents are always traumatic, but when the victim is a pedestrian the outcome can be even more devastating. A recent pedestrian accident that occurred in Massachusetts illustrates this point. The pedestrian, who was a woman, was killed on July 21, and to make matters worse, she was pregnant. The pregnant woman was killed after she was struck by a car. When first responders arrived at approximately 8:45 p.m., the woman was lying on the ground with life-threatening injuries. No one ever thinks that when they leave their home to go on a walk in their neighborhood they may never make it back safely. This is exactly what happened to a 67-year-old Massachusetts man in Worcester. A neighbor reports finding the man lying face down in the road after being hit by a car versus pedestrian accident. The man was transported to the hospital. Sadly, he later succumbed to his injuries as a result of the accident. Massachusetts State Police said they are investigating a recent pedestrian accident in which a 66-year-old election lawyer lost his life. The William Day Boulevard accident happened last Wednesday evening just before eight in the South Boston neighborhood. U.S. Representative Stephen F. Lynch described the man as a long-time friend who had helped him many times. The 33-year-old driver of the Range Rover that struck the attorney stayed at the scene of the accident. He apparently did not display signs that he was intoxicated. No charges have been filed.
