Bicyclist fatally injured in hit-and-run accident

A recent news report leaves more questions than it provides answers. Why would a bicyclist be on the road at 2:00 in the morning? If you see a headline reading "Rollover Truck Accident," you may not think it possible for the story to have a happy ending. And yet, oddly, that happened for a man who was driving a pickup truck involved in a rollover crash. According to news sources, a Boston car accident that caused the pickup truck rollover, occurred as a man was speeding away from police. New Bedford man killed in hit-and-run accident

Pedestrians are supposedly offered additional safety when they cross the street in a crosswalk area. Sadly, that is no guarantee of safety. Pedestrians, either in or out of crosswalks, should exercise caution when crossing a street. An elderly pedestrian was crossing a street when he was struck by a car, and later died of his hit-and-run accident injuries. The accident took place while the 76-year-old man was crossing Rockdale Avenue, the street on which he lived. The man was a resident of Hallmark Nursing Home in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Woman injured by alleged drunk driver, dies

A Grafton nursing assistant and home health care aid was injured in a car accident on March 4. The crash was supposedly caused by an impaired driver who was on the wrong side of the street and hit the woman's car in a serious car crash. The 35-year-old woman from Grafton died while being treated for her injuries at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center. Whether she died of injuries suffered in the head-on collision with the alleged drunken driver, or other unrelated causes, has not yet been determined.
